Ecela - Santiago, Chile

300.jpgSantiago is the safest and the most prosperous city in South America. And that’s not all; it also has the highest standard of living in the region. The city is a central starting point for many sports such as rafting, hiking, mountaineering (climbing) and skiing.

Santiago is situated in the center of Chile and consequently an attractive place to begin your travels, as other parts of the country and the region are easily accessible from here, and it has about 6 million inhabitants. With its theaters, bars, salsa and dance clubs it offers countless cultural attractions and endless entertainment.

The school is located in the neighborhood of  Providencia, one of the best in Santiago. It is the ideal location for your Spanish immersion, close to  many restaurants, bars, cafes, attractive parks, museums,  cinemas and shops. Providencia is an upper-middle class  neighbourhood and is safe at all hours. Our school is a large, comfortable, colonial-style buiding with  a spacious patio. We have 15 classrooms and several  common areas with free Internet access where our students  can enjoy breaks. The school is centrally located, just a few minutes away from  the subway, buses and our accommodations.

Our Spanish language programs are designed so that you will meet your Spanish goals in a short period of time.

During the week Santiago has a thriving social atmosphere; everyone likes to meet after work, meet new friends, enjoy live music, a play or dancing. On the weekend you can do outdoor activities or take a trip outside the city. We invite you to participate in our weekly activities: city tours, salsa and merengue lessons, museum tours, vineyard tours, and social evenings are all part of our program!
On the weekend we take trips to Valparaiso, Viña del Mar, La Serena or other varied destinations to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. For adventure lovers we organize horseback trekking, rafting and trekking!

Spanish and Ski more
Santiago is situated at the foot of the Andes and an ideal starting point to reach the close ski and snowboard regions. The mountains are up to 5’000 m high and an impressive background of the city. The ski regions are 40 to 60 km away from the city centre and are opened from end of June till September.

Our Spanish and Ski programme includes two lift tickets per week (1 weekday and 1 weekend day) and the transport to the slopes.
